3. Minutes of previous meeting

Motion:That the minutes of the meeting of September 2005 be received as true record.

Moved Mark, 3XMU and seconded Bruce 3UV. Carried

4. Business Arising from Minutes

   1. Arm Bands - XMU – nil done

   2. Training Exercise/Field Day – UV – 3 venues probable 10:00 13/11/05 Ballarat/Geelong -You Yangs, Region 4 - Ringwood, Gipsland – TB Decided. Notify email list. Events Calender. Plan – Frequencies, BYO BBQ,etc.

   3. Insurance - XMU - $236.92 premium.

Motion That the premium be paid Moved Gordon 3FGC seconded Mark 3XMU. Carried

4. CoM Attendance at Regional/Divisional meetings - XMU – Region 5 Div. 3 - Training discussed, RoM debrief.

5. Name Badges - GER – Life time Trophies. 50 + badges $80.

Motion That a name badge from the first order be sent to any members who have participated in an event over the last six months. Moved Gordon 3FGC seconded Gerard 3GER. - Carried

1. Region 3 Meeting - FGC – Spoken to Bendigo SES – room available whenever. 20^th November, 14:00 – elect RCO. Date to be confirmed.

2. First Aid Kits - 3FGC – One assembled. To be held by personnel who can are qualified.

3. R5D1 portable repeater - 3GER – performing well. GER to report to constructors.

4. Document Storage – FGC to bring filing cabinet.

5. HF/70cm Translator - 3BAF – Contacted supplier. Mini repeater. Out of production years ago. Icom 706 now held by 3GPT. Full duplex needed. Set up on field day. 70cm repeater held by 3XDE. Check with Chris Morley on operational status of unit in Gipsland.

6. Y2K Equipment upgrade application - 3FGC – OK – Awaiting response from DoJ

7. Generator - 3BAF - $950, 1Kw. Ask Chris if 240v needed.

8. St Johns Ambulance - 3BAF - Nothing more heard.

9. Volunteer Coastguard - 3BAF – Not for WICEN. One day course required. 5thNovember table top exercise City of Casey. - BAF – second antenna set up required Council workshops at Vesper Avenue. Supply specs and budget. Others to install.

10. John Weir claim for Mini Marathon.

11. 6m Radio Bulk Purchase - 3XDE – Check with 3XSW re transport

   1. Fuel Subsidy – 3XMU –

Motion that the vehicle fuel subsidy be increased to 20c/km Moved 3FGC, seconded 3BAF. Carried

1. Barrier tape (yellow and Black) how much for an “outer”

2. 3UV only 12 acceptances for MM so far. 25 operators needed. Could work with fewer – leap-frogging early stages.

3. 3FGC spoken to Rod Collins – new CRO and Paul Gabriel – EM Policy. Need yet to contact DHS

4. 3YYF – Air possibility of WIA circulating WICEN brochures with mail outs ot new licensees.
